Rescue Global Invited to Contribute to 6th Secours Expo on Rescue, Emergency and Prevention in Paris

News Post date January 27, 2020

Next month, Rescue Global will be presenting and delivering training at the 6th Secours Expo on Rescue, Emergency and Prevention in Paris. This year, the expo offers a new concept, focussed around the crisis theme cycle of preparation, prevention, alert, emergency, post-emergency and solidarity. At the heart of the event will be the expertise centre, where conferences, presentations, workshops and professional training sessions will take place, offering first hand practical insight into the multifaceted world of crisis prevention and response. Rescue Global is proud to have been asked to contribute to and partner on this excellent event.

A busy programme over the course of three days exemplifies the vast and varied nature of the crisis preparedness and response community, and the complex, multi-disciplinary landscape in which we all operate together. Covering topics from empowering youth for emergency preparedness and community-based resilience for vulnerable populations to pre hospital trauma life support and post-traumatic stress among responders, attendees will be able to take advantage of targeted skill acquisition sessions alongside knowledge-based presentations.

Rescue Global is delivering two sessions at the event.

The first, is a case study driven presentation on Multi-Agency Multi-National Coordination in Crisis and Disasters, presenting on lessons learned from some of the most impactful global crisis events over the past decade. This will include our work on a new international Standard for Crisis and Disaster Operations Management (CaDOM) with the British Standards Institution, with whom we continue to serve as a case study in excellence for our ISO9001 Risk and Quality Management System.

The second, is a live workshop which will highlight Rescue Global’s continued work with our long term partners in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at The University of Oxford and the Alan Turing Institute, in developing cutting-edge technology to augment disaster prevention and response management. In particular the use of crowd sourced data to enable intelligence led incident command.

The Secours Expo takes place from 19th to 21st March 2020 and registration is open. If you attend, be sure to come and see the Rescue Global team.
